Student Lock-In Bristol Haul

Another haul! My poor bank balance!

Yesterday was Bristol's turn to have a Student Lock-In which is basically a discount evening at a shopping mall for students. Shops like Topshop, H&M, New Look, Office and Accessorize took part so as you can imagine the mall was absoultely packed! I arrived late so I only had chance to dash into a couple of my favourite shops but I am very pleased with the things I did get.

H&M were offering a 20% discount on top of sale discounts and other offers so the dress, necklace and clutch bag I bought cost me less than £18! Amazing!

Necklace - £4 down from £10
Clutch Bag - £10.40 down from £12.99
Jersey Dress - £3.20 down from £7.99

I've also been looking for a clutch bag like this one for ages! I love the slouch look and oversized tassel. And I am so happy with the dress. Unfortunately it didn't want to photograph very well but it is a plain black skater dress with a dipped hem which I am looking forward to trying out different looks with.

From Accessorize I only bought one thing which was a lace mask from their Halloween section. I'm hoping to drag my boyfriend to a masked ball for Halloween so I thought this would be perfect.

Lace Mask - £5.10 down from £6.00

Have you been to a Student Lock-In before? Did you go this year?

Autumn Primark Haul

Cropped Jumper - £14 (?)
Fur Collar Biker - £25
Wedge Ankle Boots - £15
Suede-look Boots - £5
Bow Flats - £6
Halloween Nails - £1

Sorry I've not posted in a while but things have been pretty crazy with moving out and starting uni. I've not had much time to explore Bristol yet however earlier this week I made my first trip to the huuugee Primark in Bristol with my flat mate. Neither of us were planning to spend much money but we actually ended up spending the whole afternoon in there! Primark seem to have a lot of cute items in at the moment so we both ended up coming away with a bag full of clothing and accessories. In my defence, I've been looking for some of these items for a while!

I am so in love with the fur collar biker. I already have three other faux leather biker jackets (oops) but I couldn't resist adding this one to my collection! I love that the fur collar adds a bit of glamour so I think this will be perfect to wear with casual outfits to make them look more put together.

I've also been looking for a cropped jumper for a while to wear with dresses in the winter. This jumper is great because it's not too short and the print goes with most things so I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this.

I'm also loving the wedge ankle boots. I've been looking for something like these for a long time and for £15 I just had to buy them! They feel like they've been made pretty well so hopefully these should last me into summer as I think these would be great for any time of year.

Also, how cute are those Halloween nails?!

Style crush: Lily Collins

Images of Lily Collins from JustJared.com
H&M Ballet Pumps - £7.99
New Look Classic Black Vest - £3.99 (not shown)

I'm not going to lie, I have a massive girl crush on this lady. Not only is she very pretty, a great actress and the rumored other half of Jamie freaking Campbell Bower, but she also has amazing personal style. I think this is one of my favourite outfits of hers because even she's clearly dressed down for her morning coffee run she still looks incredible.

Although the H&M jacket isn't an exact dupe, its the closest thing I've seen to the All Saints jacket she's wearing which I've been hunting for everywhere! Plus I fell in love with it when I saw it on H&M's website and consequently may or may not have already bought it... Oops. Lets just hope I'll look at least as half put together when I wear it with bed hair and sweatpants to my 9am lectures!

Friday Wishlist: Primark on ASOS

1. Denim Jacket - £16
3. Studded Parka - £22

If you haven't heard already from every other fashion blog out there, Primark now has their own range on ASOS! I was so excited about this when I first heard because I find sometimes shopping in Primark a bit stressful as its usually packed full of shoppers, so it will be nice to finally order things online. Additionally, as ASOS has free delivery on everything (I love you ASOS) and the prices are supposed to be the same as if you bought the item in-store, it seems like a match made in budget heaven.

I've been lusting after a denim jacket to wear with dresses in the summer for a while now and I've seen #1 looking lovely on a couple of bloggers. I like that it is a lighter denim and to be honest, at £16 you can't really go wrong.

#2 and #4 both have pretty back detailing which I am such a sucker for, although I can hear my Mum shouting at me now that I already have a million dresses like #2! I do love the floral print on #4 though. It looks like it should be worn to have afternoon tea in a posh little cafe.

#4 would also be the perfect summer jacket. I'm very tempted to get it but I'm not sure if the style will suit me so I may have to track it down in our local Primark store to try on first.

Have you seen Primark's range on ASOS? Do you think you'll start buying Primark online?

May/June Clothing and Accessories Haul

WARNING: This post contains a lot of pictures!

Hello! Another haul post again but I think I've been pretty good this month. Most of these I bought secondhand from car boot sales, charity shops and a blog sale. I even managed to get my whole outfit for our trip to the theatre for my boyfriend's 21st birthday later this month for just £6 (dress - £1, shoes - £2, earrings - £3)!

However I did buy a biker jacket from Topshop and a dress from Motel but I think both will be great investment pieces... Or at least that's what I'm telling myself to stop feeling guilty about my battered bank balance!

Secondhand items:

Car boot sale:
ASOS dress - £2
New Look bow shoes - £2
SoulCal knitted waistcoat - £1
Rare London button dress - £1

Charity shop:

NOTD: Essie Ballet Slippers & Essie Eternal Optimist

With all the beautiful weather we've been having recently I've finally broken out of my I-only-want-to-wear-dark-colours fixation and have started reaching for pretty pastel colours.

Essie are one of my favourite brands for their great formula and easy application and for this look I used Ballet Slippers with Eternal Optimist on my ring finger. Eternal Optimist is a really lovely nude colour which is great for days when you want something on your nails but nothing too dark or distracting.

I also love the milky colour of Ballet Slippers but I forgot how sheer it is. In this picture I had applied 3 coats but the whites of my nails were still visible underneath so I think next time I use it I'll apply a layer of an opaque white polish before I add this one on top to give it a bit of a helping hand.

Are you a fan of Essie nail polishes?
